“Northern Food Story” is a food documentary film set in Hokkaido, portraying the culinary landscapes woven by four chefs and the changing seasons. Japanese cuisine, French, and high-end sushi… The film captures the daily lives of chefs in Japan’s northern land, as they explore their unique culinary paths, alongside the farmers, citizens and culture that surround them.This film was selected as one of five films to be screened in the Culinary Cinema section of the 72nd San Sebastián International Film, where it had its world premiere.

北海道で暮らす人々の日常や生き方に焦点を当て、彼らが持つ価値観や哲学を映し出す短編ドキュメンタリーシリーズ。

観光地としての北海道ではなく、その地で生活する人々の視点から北国の叙景を描く。

作品には日本語、英語、韓国語、中国語、タイ語、イタリア語、ドイツ語、フランス語、スペイン語の字幕が用意され、多言語対応になっている。映像だけでなく、ドキュメンタリーでは語り切れなかった彼らの背景や想いをインタビュー記事は特設サイトにまとめられている。
